Both Northern and Southern Lines Successfully Commissioned, Returning with Honors After a 100-Day Intensive Effort

On March 9–10, the 1L canned craft beer production line at Carlsberg’s Chongqing Dazhulin Brewery and the 1L canned production line at Carlsberg’s Urumqi Brewery, both constructed by Zhongchen Light Machinery, were successfully commissioned one after another. This achievement marks an industry milestone with two major high-end production lines in northern and southern China going into operation on consecutive days.

Among them, the Chongqing Dazhulin project completed its delivery with remarkable efficiency through a “100-Day Sprint”, earning Zhongchen the “Special Outstanding Contribution to the Supply Chain Award”, the only supplier to receive this honor from Carlsberg.

The Urumqi project, strictly implemented in accordance with Carlsberg’s installation standards, saw its on-site construction team honored with the “Outstanding Craftsman” Award, showcasing the strong capabilities and craftsmanship of China’s beer equipment manufacturing industry.

Redefining the New Height of Flexible Manufacturing

The newly commissioned 1L can production line is not a conventional standardized system. Instead, it is a high-end intelligent production line custom-developed by Zhongchen Light Machinery, specifically tailored to meet the needs of premium craft beer production. Its core technical indicators and level of flexibility rank among the top in the industry.

The line is designed with a production speed of up to 10,000 cans per hour (1L cans). While ensuring high production efficiency, it also enables precise quality control, achieving a true dual improvement in both speed and product quality.

The production line’s key advantage lies in its highly flexible manufacturing capability, supporting a wide range of packaging formats including aluminum bottles, glass bottles, and tinplate cans ranging from 280ml to 1000ml.

The overall line layout is clean, efficient, and highly intelligent, requiring only two operators to manage the entire system. This fully reflects the current development trend of flexibility, intelligence, and lightweight operation in the beer equipment industry, effectively addressing traditional production line challenges such as high labor dependence and limited packaging adaptability.

Faced with an extremely tight project timeline of just four months from start to finish, the project team rose to the challenge under the professional guidance of the Carlsberg project team. The project involved the application of multiple new technologies as well as upgrades and iterations of key equipment, making it both complex and demanding.

Relying on its technical expertise and strong team spirit, the Zhongchen Light Machinery team successfully overcame numerous technical challenges and ensured the high-quality, on-schedule delivery of the production line. This achievement fully demonstrates the company’s robust project execution and comprehensive delivery capabilities, providing solid support for the production of high-end beer products.

Honored as the Only Awarded Supplier

At the grand commissioning ceremony, Carlsberg’s Global Vice President of Supply Chain attended in person to initiate the production of the first can and expressed sincere appreciation and high recognition for Zhongchen Light Machinery’s outstanding contribution in his speech.

As the only invited supplier guest at the ceremony, Zhongchen Light Machinery received strong recognition for its core value and contribution. Carlsberg’s Global Vice President of Supply Chain and Mr. He Sheng, General Manager of Zhongchen Light Machinery, jointly performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the production line. During the event, Zhongchen was officially presented with the “Special Outstanding Contribution to the Supply Chain Award.”
